Belcolade, the real Belgian chocolate brand made by Belgian family firm Puratos, is expanding its site in Erembodegem (Aalst, Belgium). Two production lines are being added: one for the production of liquid chocolate, and one for packaged chocolate. The warehouse is also being enlarged. This investment demonstrates Puratos’ passion for real Belgian chocolate with a superior taste.
With the new Topfil range of fruit fillings, Puratos introduces the superior taste of wild berries to its bakery, patisserie and chocolate customers. The Topfil range includes up to 90% of fresh fruit sourced directly from the Baltic forests.
Puratos, a supplier of dry premixed ingredients to the bakery industry, has selected marking and coding specialist Allen Coding Systems to supply a 53XL80 thermal transfer printer in a bid to improve traceability of its products.
Puratos Grand-Place Vietnam inaugurated its Cocoa Collection and Fermentation Plant in Ben Tre province in Vietnam, the first of its kind in the country. This plant also includes a Cocoa Development Center that was opened in collaboration with Mars Group. Puratos has opened a Sourdough Library with a unique collection of traditional sourdoughs. The inauguration of the Sourdough Library took place at the Puratos Center for Bread Flavour in Saint-Vith, Belgium. Puratos Deli Cheesecake is the perfect convenient cheesecakecake ingredient. It can be used straight from the packaging and has a six-month shelf life in closed packaging at ambient

The construction of a new Global R&D Center has started at the Puratos Group’s headquarters in Groot-Bijgaarden, Belgium. The new center, which is set to open by the summer of 2014, will support the Group’s long-term R&D efforts. The occasion was marked by an official first stone ceremony in the presence of local officials, trade organisations and research partners.
Today, Puratos Group and Grand-Place® Holding, two international groups active in the B2B supply of raw materials and ingredients to the food industry, have finalised the negotiations for a joint venture agreement in Vietnam, due to be in effect as of January 2013. The signing marks the start of a project that will support the growth of both Groups in the region.
