International baking and fillings maker Puratos UK has added two new flavours to Topfil range and two complementary variants to its Satin Crème Cake line.

Launching in time for the spring / summer season, the Topfil Select Blackcurrant and Hibiscus and Topfil Select Strawberry, Cucumber and Mint fruit fillings are available now. Both lines are inspired by floral and alcohol flavours and are made in Britain.

Both variants are also sold to retailers in a freeze and thaw format and can be used in multiple applications including as a topping or filling for pies, cakes and mousses.

Meanwhile, the company’s new limited-edition Satin Crème Cake Buckwheat nd Satin Crème Cake Summer Berries mixes are designed to tap into consumer interest in ancient grains, as well as the summer trend for berry flavours. Both lines contain only natural flavours and no AZO dyes.

Puratos UK digital & communications manager Lydia Baines expalined: “By tapping into key consumer trends and designed to deliver consistently superior results, we are confident these new mixes will provide distributors with the inspiration and capability to offer their customers innovative, exciting and high-quality solutions this spring and summer season.”

In addition, Puratos UK is adding a new vegan mix to its scone range and is hoping to make the most of the rise in veganism. The product features a buttery texture and can be prepared from frozen using only water.

Baines added: “Our new vegan scone mix will offer our customers the chance to tap into the growing trends for vegan afternoon tea options and with no compromise on quality or taste required, delight consumers too.”
